For Other Purposes: What you are in the dark

People often ask me “Helios, how come you’re rarely in these pics? Even if you aren’t getting tickled, you should at least be doing the tickling ,right?”

(Okay no one actually asks me that but let’s pretend someone did)

The out of universe answer is that Helios isn’t exactly the easiest character to draw, so I don’t like putting that strain on artists unless they’re adept at drawing avian chars. In addition, I feel much better featuring my friends in these pics as opposed to hogging the spotlight.

The in universe answer is that I’ve always operated under the assumption that all the commissions I get kinda-sorta take place in a shared universe (think like the MCU), and that whoever was capturing them and tickling them all silly was someone *other* than Helios. I mean if he really was behind all this then why would he end up getting tickled himself? It’s not like he’s a huge masochist or anything (Remi, if you’re reading this, hush).

Of course that doesn’t mean Helios *never* tickles anyone. Far from it. In fact, here in this gift art from Unikran, we have Helios giving some tickles to a cute furre named Topaz. Apparently she’s kind of famous or something…?

Seriously tho, I have no idea who this is. If someone could fill me in that’d be great.
